Sony has made three new additions to their Cybershot series of camera, the DSC-WX5 and DSC-TX9 which are 12.2-megapixel and 3D capable cameras and the 14.1-megapixel DSC-T99. Both WX5 and TX9 support Full HD 1080i video recording, along with 2D and 3D sweep panorama. The TX9 also features an underwater panorama mode when paired along with a marine housing.
The Sony Cybershot WX5 features 5x Optical Zoom while the TX9 has a 4x Optical Zoom. It also has a new “Background Defocus” mode which automatically shoots two images which are later combined to make the foreground subject crisp and make the background suitably blurry while the new “Soft Skin” mode automatically gets rid of lines and wrinkles. The TX9 features a 3.5-inch display and the WX5 has a 2.8-inch display.
On the other hand the Cybershot DSX-T99 has a 4X Optical Zoom along with sweep panorama (with underwater mode), 720p HD video recording and has a 2-inch preview display. All the three models will go on sale this summer while the price is yet to be announced.
