Sony Announces PS4, PS3 and Vita Free Games for August

One of the benefits of being a PlayStation Plus subscriber is that it offers six free games per month. These games are spread out through three categories: PS4, PS3 and Vita. While Microsoft has yet to announced which are going to be the free games it will offer to its Gold subscribers, Sony is not doing any effort to keep its games a secret because they have already been announced. Without any further ado, let’s take a look at the free games that Sony is offering for this upcoming month.

PS4

  • Just Cause 3;
  • Downwell;
  • Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry;

PS3

  • Super Motherload;
  • Snakeball;

Vita

  • Level 22;
  • Downwell;

As everyone can clearly see, PlayStation Plus subscribers are going to have a busy month. These games will be made available for download starting next week and all of them are really fun. First off, we have Just Cause 3 which gives players the ability to do everything they want starting with hijacking airplanes and ending with gliding through the air with a parachute.

Assassin’s Creed: Freedom Cry is the standalone spinoff to Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag, the difference being that PS4 owners will get a chance to play as Adewale who is a slave turned assassin. Therefore, get ready to jump in a huge ship that’s filled with pirates and plunder the seas! In addition, the storyline for this sequel is really amazing and people who miss Edward Kenway will finally get something to make that feeling go away.

The other games are also equally awesome, especially Vita’s Level 22 which is a game that’s focused on stealth and sneaky mechanics. What we should also mention is that PlayStation Plus subscribers who live in the US will also be given the ability to rent amazing movies such as Kong: Skull Island, Logan, Power Rangers and Lego Batman Movie for only 99 cents each!
