Pixel 2 is Google’s Vision of a Perfect Android Powered Device
Google used to team up with different tech companies and create great Android powered smartphones together but that ended when Google decided to pursue its own path and launch the Pixel lineup. It seems like that was a good decision from Google’s part since Pixel and Pixel XL are two of the most popular Android smartphones ever made and they’re selling faster than hot bread.
However, Google is not stopping there because the Android parent is already adding the finishing touches to Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL. Android fans have high expectations of Google’s upcoming smartphones because they will represent the perfect Android powered smartphones. With that being said, let’s take a look at the rumors surrounding Pixel 2 and see what we can expect.
A smartphone’s display plays a major role in how successful it gets. Google knows that too well and this is why Pixel will ship with a 5.0-inch AMOLED panel that will render pictures and videos in full HD (1080 x 1920) resolution. However, that’s not all since Pixel 2’s display will also be coated in Corning Gorilla Glass 5 which will make it nearly impossible to crack.
Now that we’ve seen what display Pixel 2 will be equipped with, let’s also take a closer look under its hood. The most important hardware part of any handheld device is its processor and this is why Google will equip Pixel 2 with Qualcomm’s latest octa-core Snapdragon 835 chipset which will be paired with an Adreno 540 graphics processing unit and 4GB of RAM.
As we all can see, Pixel 2 will bring some serious competition to the smartphone industry. Sadly, Google is doing its best to keep vital information under wraps and we don’t have any additional information about Pixel 2 other than the fact that it will run on Android 8.0 Oreo.
