Nokia Lumia 625 officially announced, sports a 4.7-inch display
Nokia has officially unveiled the Lumia 625 smartphone which is a mid-ranged Windows Phone based device sporting a 4.7-inch display. It surely has quite a huge display for a Windows Phone based smartphone and it is likely that a high-end phablet running Windows Phone OS may soon enter the market.
In terms of the specifications, the smartphone has a WVGA resolution 4.7-inch display and it is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core processor along with 512MB of RAM. It also includes 8GB of built-in storage capacity which can be further expanded up to an additional 32GB using a microSD card. The low 512MB RAM is a slight disappointment as most of the mid-range devices include at least 1GB of RAM.
The device further includes a 5 megapixel rear camera and a secondary VGA quality front facing camera. It also has a FM radio capability and a few interesting camera features.
The Lumia 625 from Nokia comes in a variety of colors including – red, green, yellow, black and white – and these also come as removable shells. The smartphone is equipped with a 2,000 mAh battery and Nokia has announced it to be priced at €220 and it will launch in the third quarter of this year.
