Nokia Asha 210 with dedicated Facebook button, now available for pre-order for Rs. 4,499
The Nokia Asha 210 is a new device which will soon be available in the Indian market. The device has been spotted online, it is available for pre-order via online retailers and for Rs. 4,499 it comes with a dedicated Facebook button.
It is quite interesting that it sports a dedicated Facebook button as the Asha 210 was originally supposed to feature a dedicated WhatsApp button. While Nokia always had two versions of the device – one with a Facebook key and the other with WhatsApp key, the company was expected to launch the WhatsApp key variant in the Indian market. But it now appears that Nokia has opted to launch the Facebook key variant in the Indian market.
Apart from the dedicated social networking button, there are no other changes to the device. It sports a full QWERTY keypad, a 2.4-inch 240×320 pixels resolution display and has a 2 megapixel rear camera with a dedicated camera button. It also includes a microSD card slot which supports expandable storage up to 32GB and has a 1,200 mAh battery.
This is a dual-SIM capable feature phone which supports EDGE and GPRS connections. It also includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g and Bluetooth 2.1 connectivity. Nokia will allow users to download games like Fifa 2013 and Bejewelled free of cost. It comes pre-loaded with Nokia Xpress browsers which helps compress data for faster load time and less data consumption.
The phone is currently available for pre-order with Flipkart and Infibeam. Interestingly, Infibeam lists the WhatsApp key variant on the website and it is not yet confirmed whether both version will be available for purchase in India.
The Nokia Asha 210 will be available in yellow, cyan, black, magenta and white colors. It is priced at Rs. 4,499 and is expected to be available in the market sometime in the second week of July.
