While rickshaws play a very important role in our country, the rickshaw-walas seem very so rude in many parts of the country. Moreover, many give you absurd price to travel a short distance, while some have faulty meters and commuters ultimately ending up spending more money.
Well, according to The Telegraph a solution is on its way. Apparently, 250 rickshaws in New Delhi will have SatNav GPS devices installed by the end of this week, and the number will go up to 55,000 rickshaws by the end of this month.

These SatNav GPS devices would be connected to government servers and will help track the journey the rickshaw covers which will let officials track of the drivers are taking the fastest and the most convenient routes.
Keeping in mind that New Delhi has had a lot of instances where rickshaw drivers have been rude with female commuters, the rickshaws will now include a panic button which passengers can press to raise an alarm and alert the officials.
Well, this indeed a great move from the government, but was met with resistance from the rickshaw drivers, due to the high costs of the device. The officials the offered the drivers and option of renting the SatNav GPS. Hopefully, this will bring some huge improvement in the three-wheeler transportation service in New Delhi.
