Nexus 6P Quick Bootloop Mode Fix!
Nexus 6P is one of the best smartphones that Google ever made. In fact, Nexus 6P used to hold the title of being Google’s flagship smartphone but that ended when Pixel came out. However, there is one big downside to owning a Nexus 6P and that’s the dreaded bootloop mode which as its name implies, it causes the smartphone to reboot over and over.
This issue first appeared back in 2016 and it’s been causing Nexus 6P owners to go nuts ever since. The most annoying thing about the bootloop mode is that it’s caused by hardware malfunctioning and neither Huawei nor Google is offering to fix affected smartphones if they are not in warranty. This caused huge upset in the Android community and many Nexus 6P owners actually filed a class-action lawsuit against them.
How to Fix Bootloop Mode
Taking in consideration that the bootloop mode basically transforms affected Nexus 6P devices in paper weight, people really needed to find a fix for it and this is where the XDA Forum user known as “XCnathan32” comes in. “XCnathan32” managed to figure out that the bootloop mode is caused by Nexus 6P’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor. In fact, the problem stands in the big cluster that can be found on the chipset. Furthermore, “XCnathan32” found out that if people disable the processor’s big cluster then the smartphone will finally be able to boot completely.
This unofficial method was used on the XDA Forum member’s personal Nexus 6P and it worked flawlessly. However, worth mentioning is that there’s a side effect to disabling the chipset’s big cluster. The smartphone will be significantly slower but in the end that’s better than not working at all. With that being said, owners of affected Nexus 6P should give this method a try because they don’t have anything to loose.
