Microsoft Launches Avatar Kinect, The Virtual Chatroom for Kinect Users

Unless you love picking up girls on IMVU, you are not going to find this very interesting. However, the news is that Avatar Kinect and Kinect Sparkler is making to Xbox LIVE via Kinect Fun Labs this week.

Avatar Kinect captures facial expressions and voice, so whenever you cry, smile, speak or nod your avatar does the same. It allows users to invite up to seven friends in 24 different settings where they can discuss stuff on the Talk Show Stage, they can watch live sporting events and wager on their team in Sports Party Stage or enjoy some comedy on the Performance Stage.

The Kinect sensor also records these sessions and edits it on its own to make it less boring and you can later share this video by uploading it to KinectShare.com, which also allows you to download it on your computer or share it on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and others.

It is available for free for all Xbox LIVE Gold members, however all Xbox LIVE members (including free) can use it without subscribing to Gold between July 25 and September 8. Well, if you love lying around on your sofa, just give this a try.
