Lenovo ThinkPad Date Now Official: August 23rd
Lenovo, the Chinese computer bigwig, is a late entrant in the tablet market. While its IdeaPad K1 is out, the eagerly anticipated ThinkPad, though announced some time back itself, has officially gotten an August 23rd release date. The information comes courtesy of the product page on Lenovo’s website.
This tablet offering from Lenovo, which also doubles up as a workstation thanks to accessories such as a dock and a keyboard folio, runs the Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS, the version of the Green Robot that has been optimized for tablets. Internally, it is powered by an NVidia Tegra dual core 1 GHz processor. It offers 64 GB storage and comes with a host of expansion possibilities including USB 2.0, MicroUSB, an SD card slot and a mini HDMI slot. The connectivity options are standard: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and 3G. Its display is made of Gorilla Glass and sports a 10.1” WXGA (1280×800) 16:10 IPS panel screen. While weighing 1.65 pounds and upwards, its battery life boasts 8 hours when Wi-Fi is on.
