Huawei launches Ascend G300 and Y200 Android smartphones in India
Huawei had previously mentioned that the company will bring the Ascend G300 and Ascend Y200 Android smartphones in the Indian market and today they have officially launched these devices and announced their pricing.
Both the Huawei smartphones run Android 2.3 Gingerbread out of the box and may possibly not get upgraded to Android 4.0 ICS. The Ascend G300 bears a price tag of Rs. 13,490 while the Ascend Y200 is officially priced at Rs. 8,190 which is cheaper than what we had mentioned in a previous post.
The Huawei Ascend G300 is a better speced device amongst the two. It features a 4-inch WVGA display, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash, FM radio and is powered by a 1GHz processor. It further includes 512MB of RAM and a 1,350 mAh battery rated for up to 300 minutes (3G) of talk time.
The Huawei Ascend a much affordable device which will face heavy competition from the arsenal of devices in that segment. It has a 3.5-inch HVGA resolution display and is powered by an 800MHz processor. It includes a 3.2 megapixel camera, 256MB of RAM, expandable memory up to 32GB and a 1,250 mAh battery rated for up to 4 hours (3G) of talk time.
