HP and Palm release webOS 1.4.5 Update

It has been a long time since we heard the first announcement regarding HP’s acquisition of Palm, the merger is now over and we already have a new update for the webOS. The new webOS version 1.4.5 has already been rolled out over the world, Sprint users can get it right away however, AT&T and Verizon users may still have to wait for some more time.

The new features include an update browser and security for your Palm Pre and Palm Pixi devices. It also has final support for apps developed by using Palm’s Plug-In Development Kit (PDK). The PDK allows developers to port C/C++ apps to the webOS and this means better 3D gaming support.

Well, it looks like HP and Palm are now continuously taking efforts to start their entire webOS plans. Now, that the merger is completed, the company is now fully functional and we will soon see some brilliant webOS based devices.
