Facebook launches Facebook for Business

Well, it is Google+ and Facebook in the social network battle and while the former is yet to figure out a way on business profiles on their platform, the latter has made a new announcement. They have now rolled out the new Facebook for Business which helps businesses to maintain their social presence using Ads, Pages and Stories.

It is quite easy to set-up your business profile on this new platform and it is a step-by-step procedure which guides right till the end. It helps you set-up ads, customize and set-up pages and allows you to select who will see what, in regards to their interaction.

Further they have introduced a new thing which they like to call ‘Sponsored Story’ which includes almost every way your fans interact with your business, be a ‘Like’, a ‘Checkin’ or even if they share a post on their ‘Wall’. There are seven different types under ‘Sponsored Story’ you can check them out here. Guys over at TNW report this as “Facebook’s way of saying conversations about your brand, going on in the Facebook universe”.

Upon speaking with Facebook they learnt that “Facebook wants to inspire small businesses by seeing how other businesses have found success on Facebook by sharing their stories.” So, it seems this is like a social network for businesses where one business can learn something from another and vice versa. This seems interesting and startups may make use of this a lot. Although, we are still unclear how it will turn out in coming months.
