ezGear SurfBoard 700 Android Tablet Announced

We have seen some electronics, smartphone and PMP accessories from ezGear before but the company has now announced an Android based tablet. It looks like everyone is now making tablets and they all have Android on it. ezGear has announced the SurfBoard 700, which is a 7-inch WVGA Android MID based tablet which has RockChip’s RK2818 chipset and also offers a 2 megapixel camera, HDMI output and WiFi b/g.

Other features include a miscroSD card slot, headset jack, lighted trackball and a USB 2.0 port for devices and hosts. The SurfBoard 700 promises a brilliant 20 hours of music playback and 9 hours of video, which is a lot of time on a tablet.

It looks like a decent entry-level tablet, but sadly it is yet unknown which version of Android does it support. It is also supposed to have a app store but it could either be the Android Marketplace or some other third part app store. Also the render seems to have something like Windows 7 running which simply leads to more confusion.

The price is not yet announced but we know that the tablet will start shipping this September.
