Apple releases Mac OS X Mountain Lion available from App Store for $19.99

Finally, Apple has releases the much awaited and the latest version of their OS X operating system. This new update of OS X is called Mountain Lion. Those who own a compatible Mac computer can download the operating system via the Mac App Store for just $19.99, we have listed the compatible devices below.

Further, those who have purchased a Mac computer on or before July 11 can download OS X Mountain Lion for free. Apple has also mentioned that the release will be rolling out in phases hence there is possibility you might get the update at a later time.

Those who wish to upgrade to Mountain Lion should ensure that their computer is currently running OS X 10.7.x (Lion). Those running OS X 10.6.x (Snow Leopard) will have to update it to the latest version before installing OS X Mountain Lion.
