Logic Pro X is no doubt a massive update to the DAW as it brings in a slew of new instruments and effects. It has a new feature called ‘Drummer’ which allows the users to program a virtual session drummer who will play along to your tracks in different variations. This feature has been designed in collaboration with Bob Clearmountain who is well known for his work with The Rolling Stones, Bruce Springsteen and David Bowie.
A new addition called Flex Pitch will make audio tracks more in tune as it enables music producers to precision edit tracks with integrated pitch editing for audio tracks. Apple has also introduced another new feature called Logic Remote which will allow the user to control the DAW using an iPad. Further new features include Track Stacks and Arpeggiator.
Apple claims that by using the Arpeggiator a music producer can convert simple keyboard chords into an elaborate performance. It also has Retro Synth which emulates some of the most popular classic synthesizer tones from the 70s and 80s, and Vintage Keyboards models of electric pianos, B3 organs and clavs, with tone-shaping controls.
Bass Amp Designer will also pass players to play and record by using vintage and modern bass amp simulation, also cabinets and microphones can be configured to build a custom bass rig. Logic Pro X also features an entirely new Sound Library with an updated loop collection which includes over 1,500 instrument and effect patches.
