Therefore, without having to tread through various websites for the latest information about G.o.T, we have gathered all the various pieces for you here. They are the following:

As we saw Oberyn Martell, the prince of Dorne, and various references to Dorne in G.o.T Season 4, we will see a much detailed look into Dorne.

The story left by Oberyn Martell related to Dorne will now be continued by Prince Doran Martell, Oberyn’s elder brother and ruler of Dorne, Prince Trystane Martell, the fiance of Princess Myrcella , Areo Hotah, the black guard of Prince Doran Martell, and the Sand Snakes, the bastard daughters of Oberyn Martell.

Many other characters for other parts of Game of Thrones will also be introduced, but the most emphasis will be laid upon Dorne and its inhabitants. David Benioff, the co-creator of the show, also earlier revealed that for Dorne, the Game of Thrones team and cast will be heading to Spain to film scenes for Dorne. It is safe to say that Dorne will be the prime focus in Game of Thrones Season 5.

New directors

Moreover, there will be 5 new directors for Season 5, each one directing 2 episodes, as there are generally 10 episodes in each season. David Nutter, who directed the famous “Rains of Castamere” episode will return to direct episode 9 and 10 of Season 5.

The old directors, David Benioff, Dan Weiss and Alex Graves will take a break from direction for Season 5 and give way to new directors.

If the readers do not know, Season 5 will be based on the latter half of book 4, A feast for crows, and the entirety of book 5, A Dance with Dragons. Both books focus on different characters and feature the same period of time.

According to co-creator, David Benioff, Game of Thrones will be wrapped up in a total of seven seasons. Quite sadly, only 3 are left for us to save in our memories.

This piece of information might be perceived as being unrelated to Season 5, but it is worth reading. After the end of season 4, Queen of England went to visit the sets of Game of Thrones and she did not sit on the Iron Throne.

We believe, it was because every person who has sat on the Iron Throne in the show has died a terrible death. By that we mean all the kings. Rhaegar Targaryen, Robert Baratheon and then Joffrey Baratheon. We think the Queen believes that by sitting on the Iron Throne she may as well come under the curse that has killed many. Of course, we’re joking.

We hope Game of Thrones Season 5 is as good as its previous seasons and offers the same view of the fantasy world as it has been so gracefully described in the books.
