iPad Pro Release Date Pegged for Early 2015, But DOES IT Make Sense?

Along with the iWatch, the iPad Pro is another Apple product that many think will get released soon. Here are the latest details on this and what we think.

The amount of rumors, leaks and hearsay that adds up around Apple’s product, especially prior to new releases is just baffling. There are countless analysts and publications that claim to know “secrets”.

Now, new information leaking from Taiwanese publication Economic Daily News suggests that Apple will launch three iPad versions, the all-new 9.7-inch iPad Air, a new 7.9-inch iPad mini and the much rumored 12.9-inch iPad Pro.

According to Economic Daily News, TPK will supply next-gen touch sensors for all new iPad and iWatch models for this year. However, corroborated with a previous rumor also coming from far-East, the most “realistic” release date for the iPad Pro is scheduled for early 2015.

One of the reasons why Apple would release such a device could be constituted by enterprise customers. And we’ve seen a few days ago the Cupertino company sign an agreement with IBM to help push iOS in the enterprises.

On the other hand, it’s pretty far fetched to assume that Apple would release a completely new device just to appease a nascent category.

Plus, it’s really hard to say that Apple would risk their reputation with a product that hasn’t been yet shown to generate big interest among consumers. Apple fans now want a bigger iPhone and that’s where company’s focus is.

However, there are indeed areas where the iPad Pro could prove to be really useful, such as architecture, medicine, engineering, drawing and many others.

And despite the fact that most of these rumors seem to say that early 2015 is a potential release date, I’ll say that if there’s indeed a bigger sized iPad on the cards, we will see it as early as 2016.
