Next Hitman Game Release: What You Need to Know
The official release date of the new Hitman game isn’t revealed yet, but developers have some good news for all Hitman fans. The new Hitman game is under development and it will be released during 2014, or early in 2015.
According to an open letter that was released on the Hitman website earlier this year, AI-Interactive plans to release the new Hitman title for PC and all major consoles. The game is for now titled as “Hitman 6”, and there are no certain information about title changes.
The game won’t change its main character, as well, you’ll still control the ruthless Agent 47. There are even rumors that Agent 47 will be better than ever:
“In the next game you will experience a globetrotting Agent 47 at the prime of his career – the apex predator stalking his prey across the world, with the support of his long-term handler Diana Burnwood and the whole of the ICA.”
Developers also plan to add interesting, exotic locations to the game. You can see the small part of Hitman 6 gameplay on the concept artwork above, which was also released on Hitman website earlier this year.
As seen on the concept art, Agent 47 is in front of the large building in some big city. It is said that the location of this building is in Central Europe, and this building is also stated as “larger than any location in Hitman: Absolution,” and you’ll be able to completely explore both interior and exterior of it.
Developers want to make sure that this Hitman release will be the best so far, and because of that, they don’t want to rush with its release:
“We’re focusing all of our time and efforts into creating the best possible Hitman game. That’s our number one priority and we don’t want to divert valuable resources to show something before it’s ready.”
IO says that there would be more information about this game later this year, meanwhile developer Square Enix Montreal will soon provide us with details on updates for Hitman Go, the version of Hitman for smartphones and tablets.
