GTA 5 was one of 2013’s most acclaimed titles when it was released for the Xbox 360 and PS3. We are now hearing news related to the launch of the game for PS4s, Xbox Ones and PCs.

Rockstar Games has officially confirmed that it is bringing its record-breaking title Grand Theft Auto 5 to the next-generation gaming console “this fall”, with a trailer specifically released for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.

The announcement has been anticipated for quite some time now, and thanks to the already-outstanding graphics on the current-gen consoles, we can’t wait to see what Rockstar has to offer for next-gen.

Demand for the title to be released for the PS4, Xbox One and PC has been high, and countless rumours have hinted at a release date for the next-gen version of the game.

Regarding the next-gen version of the game, Rockstar said:

“’Grand Theft Auto V’ will take full advantage of the power of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC with across-the-board graphical and technical improvements to deliver a stunning new level of detail. Increased draw distances, finer texture details, denser traffic, and enhanced resolutions all work together to bring new life to the cities, towns, deserts and oceans of Rockstar North’s epic reimagining of Southern California.”

In the game’s Steam listing, Rockstar specially assured its PC fans that “Grand Theft Auto V for PC will take full advantage of the power of PC to deliver across-the-board enhancements including increased resolution and graphical detail, denser traffic, greater draw distances, upgraded AI, new wildlife, and advanced weather and damage effects for the ultimate open world experience.”

The next-gen upgrades also extend to Grand Theft Auto online, in which users can rise through criminal ranks by completing jobs for cash, by purchasing properties, vehicles and character upgrades.

Rockstar has also confirmed that the PC version will feature a video editor created for advanced movie making and additional content, not available on current-gen or next-gen consoles.

The trailer contains footage captured from the PS4 version of the game, so check it out above.
