TripAdvisor Android App Gets Offline Support and More in Latest Update
When it comes to planning your trip from your Android smartphone or tablet, there probably isn’t a better tool than TripAdvisor.
Millions of Android users have downloaded the official TripAdvisor app on their Android devices and using it on a daily basis, so any update that the application receives is very important.
Today we’re talking about some important new features and options. First of all, there’s now offline support for smartphones, which means you can download maps, reviews, and your saves and take them with you while you travel. We all know that paying for roaming data is quite expensive, so this is a much welcome update, not to mention that it’s also free.
Also, the member profiles now show photos and badges, so if you have already a lot of friends on Trip Advisor, then your network will look much better now.
Besides this, it’s now possible to find and reserve tables at thousands of restaurants worldwide, which is a feature that was much awaited, since more rely on their Android mobile devices for tasks that were once limited to desktop machines.
Last, but not least, there has been issued an update to the functionality of the app, as now you can tap and hold the back button to speed back to the home screen. Users are pleased with its performance, user Mike Madden saying the following:
“Used this app for some years now. And it’s proved to be a “Must have app”. I always check reviews on TripAdvisor before I book anywhere, and ‘touch wood’ so far, it’s never let us down!”
Go ahead and download the app for yourself if you haven’t done so already and join a community of more than 50 million users across the world.
