Micromax Canvas 4 specifications leak before its launch

As we reported earlier, Micromax has started taking pre-booking for its upcoming Canvas 4 smartphone, but the company did not reveal the pricing or the specifications for the device which is expected to launch on July 8.

The guys over at AndroidOS.in have got further details on the specifications for this upcoming device. The Micromax Canvas 4 is likely to sport a 720p HD IPS display and not a 1080p full HD display as rumored earlier. Just like the A116 Canvas HD this device will also feature a 5-inch display. The smartphone will be powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor along with 1GB of RAM.

IT is also rumored that the Cavas 4 will sport a 13 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front facing camera. The device will include 16GB of built-in storage capacity which can be expanded using a microSD card. It will come pre-loaded with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and will include a 2,000 mAh to power all of its operations.

Apparently, the Micromax Canvas 4 will weigh about 145 grams and it will measure just 8.9mm thick. It seems that the device will feature an aluminum frame; however the rest of the body including the back cover will be made out of plastic.

The pricing has not been revealed by the source but there are some strong speculations with the device being tagged somewhere between Rs. 16,000 to Rs. 17,000. We will keep you updated if any new information surfaces.
