Micromax launches A45 Superfone Punk, Rihanna fans rejoice!
Micromax Mobiles has announced a new affordable device in its Superfone series of Android-based entry-level smartphones and this new addition is called the Micromax A45 Superfone Punk. The name itself suggests that the device is targeted at young music enthusiasts, who expect their smartphone to serve as a decent portable media player.
The A45 Superfone Punk is an Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread based device which supports dual-SIM capability. Like most entry-level smartphones from the company it is powered by a 650 Mhz processor and it sports a 3.5-inch display with 320×480 pixels resolution.
Additionally there is a 2 megapixel rear camera and apparently there is no flash, so don’t expect it to capture marvelous photos but then again it is an entry-level device and you can’t have high expectations. The Superfone Punk also includes WiFi connectivity, support for EDGE, a microUSB port and misses out of 3G connectivity. It has a microSD card slot and it supports up to 32GB o storage capacity.
The most highlighted features of this device are its multimedia capabilities, even though it does not include any specific hardware improvements. The device comes with decent looking headphones, but we cannot yet comment on its sound quality. It comes pre-loaded with the latest Rihanna album, Talk That Talk which is far from punk.
The device will also include AISHA, the voice assistance software which Micromax first introduced with its A50 Superfone Ninja smartphone.
The device is officially priced at Rs. 5,499 and is available in white and black across retail outlets in India.
