Fable: The Journey announced, launching in October this year [E3 2012]

Announced back during E3 2011, Lionhead Studios’ famous Fable franchise has made yet another appearance but this time at E3 2012. It is Fable: The Journey a game developed using Unreal Engine 3 and published by Microsoft Games.

At Microsoft’s press conference at E3 the guys officially announced that the game will be released on October 9 in the North American market and it will hit the European streets on October 12.

Additionally, they also treated the fans with a small sneak peak at the gameplay with the use of Kinect. The gameplay shows off in-game combat which mostly consists of magic, some enemies and a few spells from the game.

In my opinion it seems much promising than Fable 3 a game which did create high expectations and failed to meet it. The game however seems more focused at Kinect fanboys hence it may differ much from former titles in the series. I have my fingers crossed and hope that Lionhead Studios get it right with this one.
