Asus unveils Zenbook Infinity Ultrabook with Gorilla Glass 3 lid and backlit keyboard

Asus has finally unveiled its Zenbook Infinity Ultrabook which it had announced a few weeks ago. The company unveiled the device at Computex 2013 and apparently it is the world’s first Ultrabook with its lid made of Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3.

The lid on the ultrabook is made up of a glass and aluminum fusion which is protected using Gorilla Glass 3. It provides great scratch resistance and has enabled Asus to achieve a thickness of only 15.5mm which is nearly 14 percent thinner than the previous generation Asus Zenbooks.

The Zebook Infinity sports a 13.3-inch touchscreen display along with a backlit keyboard, and both the display as well as the keyboard gets the Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by Intel’s new Haswell processor and it includes two USB 3.0 ports a microHDMI port and a SD card slot.

It looks like a well designed Ultrabook from Asus and at the moment the company has not revealed any details on the pricing and the availability for this computer. It is expected to launch sometime later this year.
