Amazon India now selling consumer electronics
Amazon India today has launched three new stores and they are finally selling electronic devices in the Indian market. The three new categories introduced by the company include mobile phones and accessories, cameras and photography and portable media players.
This comes soon after the launch of Amazon launched its marketplace in the Indian market earlier this month. We have also seen the company officially launch its own tablet devices and eBook readers in the Indian market. With today’s launch Amazon India now has a total of six product categories in the Indian market, as the company was already selling apps, books, movies and TV shows.
Amazon India claims its new stores have more than 20,000 products which are listed from moe than 120 electronics retailers in India, these mainly include – Croma, Vijay Sales, UniverCell, Saholic, J.J. Mehta & Sons, amongst others.
For a limited period as an introductory offer orders fulfilled by Amazon will come with free delivery. Likewise with all ‘fulfilled by Amazon’ orders, customers will get the cash on delivery payment option, delivery tracking to the doorstep service and free returns pickup.
