Rovio’s New Angry Birds Epic RPG Android Game is Well-received by the Community

Rovio has been releasing quite a lot of sequels to its uber popular Angry Birds series but with Angry Birds Epic, it was company’s first foray into a slightly different gaming style – RPG turn-based gameplay. And since this was quite a change for Rovio, there were worries that it will not please the fans of the series.

However, only a few days after the release, we see that the game is quite popular, having received an overall rating of 4.6 from a staggering amount of more than 500,000 votes. The Google Play Store machine also estimates that the app has been downloaded between 5,000,000 and 10,000,000 times. Here’s what user Nabil Amin says about the game:

“Rovio has outdone themselves. Probably the best game to come to handheld gaming along with Hearthstone. Addicting and difficult enough to enjoy. This game starts off at a perfect pace introducing you to the elements and slowly gets difficult. I was surprised I actually needed to grind to get past a level. I am looking forward to the updates.”

User John Ogilvie agrees with him and shares his own input, as well:

“Incredible. Thought this was another chapter in the classic angry birds game collection, but was surprised to discover a deeply engaging, fun turn-based RPG adventure, I couldn’t be more satisfied with this game, my new favorite, hands down.”

However, there are already some complaints, such as the fact that there’s no notification when you get the golden pig and some user is complaining that his coins get lost mysteriously.

“it is taking my lucky coins away when i never even spent them. I lose like 5 every day. the golden pig doesnt help either”

But if you haven’t downloaded the already popular game, then go ahead and follow this link to get it from the Play Store. It will work on Android smartphones and tablets that run at least 2.3.3. It comes with a size of only 68 megabytes, so it won’t take up too much storage space.
