Crytek announces Homefront: The Revolution with a new trailer
Homefront: The Revolution is an upcoming open-world FPS which was recently announced by Crytek. The video game will de developed by Crytek UK and it will be powered by the CryEngine.
Crytek, had acquired the Homefront IP from THQ, and this new game is a result of the same. Apart from the solo campaign it will also offer co-op for up to four players.
It will be set in Philadelphia, which has been under occupation by the ‘Korean People’s Army’ for four years. The protagonist will be a ‘freedom fighter’, who is one of the many civilians rising up against the Koreans.
Homefront: The Revolution also promises to be a lot different than its predecessor, as it introduces an open-ended approach, with the gameplay focusing on guerrilla tactics like sabotage, assassination and hit-and-runs.
This title is scheduled to release in 2015 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, the gameplay debut will be released at E3 2014 coming up shortly.
