HTC One E8 officially announced, with 5-inch display and a polycarbonate body
After a series of rumors surrounding this device, HTC has recently announced its new smartphone which it calls HTC One E8. This is the plastic-built variant of the HTC One M8 and it comes with what the company calls a “Dual Curve” design which easily fits in the users palm in any possible position.
Along with the new polycarbonate body, the HTC One E8 also features dual-SIM capabilities and the device is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor which is coupled with 2GB of RAM.
This smartphone sports a 5-inch 1080p Full JD resolution display and it comes with 16GB of onboard storage capacity which can be expanded using a microSD card up to 128GB in size.
The HTC One E8 smartphone will come pre-loaded with Android 4.4 Kit Kat which will be skinned with the HTC Sense 6 UI. It will also support the “Motion Launch” gestures which were first seen on the HTC One M8.
This smartphone comes with a 13 megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash while there is a secondary front facing 5 megapixel camera. It is housed with a 2,600 mAh battery which is yet to be rated.
This is mid-ranged Android smartphone from HTC which would go up against the recently announced Sony Xperia T3. This device will come in four colors which include – Polar White, Electric Crimson, Maldives Blue and Misty Grey. Expect it to be priced just under Rs. 30,000.
