Gionee Pioneer P2S is a new entry-level smartphone for Rs 6,499
Gionee has now launched a new entry-level Android based smartphone in the Indian market and this device is called the Pioneer P2S. However, unlike many of the new entry-level Android based smartphones which recently arrived in the Indian market this device runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and not Android 4.4 Kit Kat.
In terms of the specifications, the device sports a 4-inch WVGA resolution display and it is powered by a 1.3GHz dual-core processor which is paired with 512MB of RAM. It also comes with 4GB of built-in storage which can be further expanded using a microSD card.
Further this smartphone features a 5 megapixel rear camera along with a secondary front facing VGA quality camera. It has FM radio, and is equipped with a 1,600 mAh battery which is rated to provide up to 12.5 hours of talk time and 346 hours of standby time.
In terms of the connectivity the device comes with dual-SIM card slots and it also supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and 3G capabilities.
The only shortcoming for this smartphone is that we already have smartphones like the Motorola Moto E and the Micromax Canvas Engage or Micromax A105 Canvas which come pre-loaded with Android 4.4 Kit Kat.
