Asus FonePad 8 and Asus FonePad 7 announced at Computex 2014

Asus has announced its new FonePad 8 and an improved version of the FonePad 7, at the ongoing Computex 2014. Both the tablet/smartphone hybrids will be capable of making calls using a SIM card.

The new FonePad 7 as well as the FonePad 8 both, come with equipped with a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3560 processor and the new FonePad 7 has a slimmer design and improved performance when compared with its predecessor.

The FonePad 8 sports an 8-inch HD 1280×800 pixels) resolution display and flaunts a narrow 5.06mm bezel design. The tablet is powered by a 1.8 GHz Intel Atom Z3560 processor, supports 3G connectivity has a dual-SIM slots.

Both the hybrids also feature a 5 megapixel rear camera and a secondary front facing 2 megapixel camera. They come with ASUS SonicMaster audio with dual front speakers and are pre-loaded with Android 4.4 Kit Kat right out of the box.

These tables will be available in black, white, gold and red color variants and the company is yet to announce the specific availability and pricing details for both.
