Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 8.0 and 9.7 Release Date With Best Specs and Features
Soon, Samsung will announce two new tablets, which will be the successors of the Galaxy Tab S2 8.0 and Tab S2 9.7. The Tab S3 variants will have the same screen sizes, but upgraded hardware and more about them we’ll tell you below.
The Galaxy Tab S3 8.0 will have the model number SM-T719, while the larger Tab S3 9.7 will have the model number SM-T813. It isn’t known yet when Samsung will announce them, but at least we have the specs of the Tab S3 8.0 tablet, which was approved by China’s Telecommunication Equipment Certification Center.
There are no photos of it, but it was specified that it will measure 198.6 x 134.8 x 5.6 mm and will weight 272 grams, likewise its predecessor, it will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and will be powered by an Exynos 7420 processor that will be backed by 4GB RAM, but other rumors suggest that the device will pack a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor backed by 3GB of RAM.
It seems that the internal memory will be available in two variants as well, and their capacities will be 32GB and 64GB, but they will support expansion up to 128GB. The previous Tab S2 houses a 4000mAh battery and most likely, the Tab S3 will have a battery with a similar capacity.
The screen will support a resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, resulting in a pixel density of 320ppi, while the rear camera will be 8MP, but Samsung hasn’t equipped it with LED Flash, which means that users will take pictures only in good light conditions. Also, the device will most likely have a plastic back and a metal frame, and will be available in white or black colors. Rumors say that the 8-inch tablet will cost $204, while the larger tablet will be $50 more expensive.
