OnePlus 3 Will Be Released With Two RAM Variants
The upcoming OnePlus 3 smartphone appeared in GeekBench and GFXBench benchmarks with two variants of RAM: 4GB and 6GB, but the manufacturer hasn’t made any statements yet and we will take an OnePlus employee’s word for granted that the device will come with these RAM capacities, two variants of internal memories of 32Gb and 64GB and they will be powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor.
It isn’t sure yet when the third generation OnePlus flagship will make its appearance, but it is believed that it will be unveiled this month, either on May 18 or May 28. Reports say that it will be cheaper than its predecessor, costing $310, with $19 less than the OnePlus 2 and we’re assuming that this pricing will be available for the 4GB/32GB model.
It seems that the new device will come with a new technology called Dash Charge and it will be similar to Quick Charge 3.0 included in the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon’s fast charging technology. OnePlus has filed a patent for it but the filing doesn’t say anything related to “fast charging”, but if this feature will be added, it will allow devices to charge up to four times faster than using conventional charging.
The rest of rumored specs of the OnePlus 3 include a 5-inch Full HD display, a 16MP rear camera, an 8MP front camera and a metal body that will replace the sandstone black texture. Also, the new phone will run on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.
The previous OnePlus 2 model had a 5.5-inch display supporting a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels at 401 ppi, it was powered by a Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 octa core processor clocked at 1.82GHz and had two variants of RAM as well: 3GB of RAM coupled with 16GB of storage and 4GB of RAM paired with 64GB of internal memory.
The rear camera supported 13 MP and offered features such as OIS, laser autofocus and dual-LED flash, while the front camera was 5MP.
