Microsoft Surface Pro 5 and Surface Book 2 Delayed Again – Does It Worth The Wait?
Once again, to fans’ disappointment, Microsoft has delayed the release of the Surface Pro 5. Many fans were expecting it to enter simultaneously with the Surface Book 2, based on the recent discounts the company has made for the Pro 3 and 4. Apparently, Microsoft wants to use a Kaby Lake type of chip on their Pro 5.
However, this chip will not be released until the end of this year, so clearly we will not be getting the laptop sooner than that. Also, we have sure news that it will come with the Redstone 2, which is an update to the Windows 10. In turn, this update has not been released yet and it has also been delayed, which also causes some delays for the release of the Pro 5.
Some sources say that the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will cost almost $900, while the one that comes with an i7 Intel Core will be almost $1000. More than that, the i7 Extreme Pro 5 will cost even more, reaching almost $1,600.
But these prices are not that high if you stop and think of all the great features you get. The Pro 5 will offer 4K display, and an excellent video quality. The battery is very powerful and the users will also receive a Surface Pen as a stylus that can be recharged. Moreover, it will have a type C USB port and, of course, the latest trend in technology, a fingerprint scanner.
However, what matters most is user satisfaction, and up until now, the users have not been satisfied at all with all the delays and the unexpected announcements the company has made. Clearly, they have received lots of criticism for their chaotic way of handling this Pro 5 release, but it remains to be seen if it was worth it or not.
