LG Optimus G with LTE TDD capability coming to India
LG’s Optimus G smartphone has been available in India since a while now, however the Korean manufacturer now plans to launch a LTE TDD capable variant of the same device in the Indian market.
LTE TDD is a variant of LTE which makes use of TDD modulation scheme in unpaired spectrum. This stands for Long Term Evolution Time Division Duplexing. The company has already launched this new variant in Saudi Arabia and plans to eventually bring it to China, North America, Japan, Australia and India.
Other specifications of this LG Optimus G variant remain the same. It sports a 4.7-inch True HD IPS Plus display with a resolution of 1280×768 pixels. The device comes pre-loaded with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and it is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.5GHz.
It further includes 2GB of RAM and has a 2,100 mAh Li-Ion battery. There is a 13 megapixel rear camera and a secondary front facing 1.3 megapixel camera. The current variant available in India supports 3G connectivity and it is priced at Rs. 31,899.
