Lenovo announces new IdeaPads

Lenovo has announced a new range of IdeaPad laptops which will hit the stores in July. This is the new IdeaPas Z-Series and will feature 13-inch and 15-inch multimedia notebooks with a starting price of $649 US. Along with this the company has also introduced new models for its slim and light U-Series.

The new Lenovo IdeaPad U160 weighs just about 3 pounds and is 0.9-inch thick. It will have an 11.6-inch (1366 x 768 pixel resolution) display along with support for up to 4 GB RAM, 3USB ports, eSATA port, HMDI and VGA ports, flash card reader, 1.3-megapixel webcam, a 3-cell battery which is estimated to provide around 4 hours of battery life and it will be powered by the new Intel Core i-Series of processors with speeds ranging from 1.06 GHz to 1.2 Ghz.

In terms of connectivity, the IdeaPad U160 will have an option between 202.11b/g or 802.11b/g/n for the WiFi along with optional Bluetooth and 3G connectivity. As mentioned before the Lenovo IdeaPad U160 will be available sometime around in June and the price may range from somewhere around $650 to $720.
