Google Android 3.0 ‘Gingerbread’ may arrive by the end of 2010

Well, Google I/O has been a really big thing and a lot of beautiful things have been revealed. We just told you about the brilliant prototype Google Android device powered by Nvidia’s Tegra 2 Processors. The device looked really sweet but now something more awesome is on its way.

With all the fuzz about the Android 2.2 Froyo nearing an end it seems that Google has one special announcement planned for the end of this year. As reported by Euro Droid, WebM’s media team has revealed that Google is going to release the Android 3.0 codenamed Gingerbread during quarter four of this year.

To be more specific this detail is available on WebM’s FAQ’s and it goes on something like this;

When will other Google products support WebM and VP8? “WebM support in Android is expected in the Gingerbread release (currently planned for Q4, 2010). We expect many other Google products to adopt WebM and VP8 as they prioritize it with their other product requirements. Keep an eye on the WebM blog for announcements”

Well this definably is a brilliant revelation and with all the new possibilities this can be way more capable. So let us sit back and wait for Q4, 2010.
