Differences between the OnePlus5 and Samsung Galaxy S8

OnePlus will be released in the next couple of weeks and it’s seems to have a lot of new and great features. Let’s see the difference between this device and the Samsung Galaxy S8 we all love.

Design
OnePlus 5 is rumored to have a ceramic or glass look, unlike the older version with aluminium body. OnePlus will be gifted with a dual camera, possibly for both the rear and front. The leaked images show an USB Type-C port and a fingerprint sensor with an – possibly – absent headphone jack.

Samsung Galaxy S8 looks are all metal and glass with a curved display and a scanner for fingerprints found at the rear along with a single camera lens.
It also has USB Type-C, just like OnePlus5 and an additional 3.5mm headphone jack, measuring 148.9×68.1×8.0mm. It weighs 155g, gives you the opportunity to choose between 5 different colors and the most important, it’s waterproof!

Display
The rumors claim that the OnePlus 5 will have either a 5.4inch or a 5.5inch screen, both flat. It might be gifted with a Quad HD display (534ppi or 554ppi) and, just like the 3T version, an Optic AMOLED display.

Galaxy S8 has an Super AMOLED 5.8inch display with a Quad HD Plus resolution (2960px1440p , 570ppi). So is more likely to be larger and sharper than its rival.

Hardware&Software
OnePlus 5 will offer a 835 Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, a minimum of 6GB for RAM, 64GB or 128GB in storage while the battery will hit 4000mAh, which is way more than we expected.

When it comes to software, it’s a possibility for OnePlus5 to launch OxygenOs (customized version of Android Nougat), while S8 runs Android Nougat through TouchWiz. The package will be different, while the features will be almost identical.

Galaxy 8 will might opt for Exynos 8895 chip (or keep the 835 Qualcomm Snapdragon processor). Both versions offer 4GB RAM and 64GB in storage.
Unlike OnePlus5, The Samsung Galaxy 8’s battery has a capacity of 3000mAh.

Price
Well, it looks like OnePlus 5 is willing to offer more RAM, more battery life and a dual camera on the rear. Samsung, on the other hand, is offering a curved and larger display, waterproofing and eye scanning. The bad part is that S8 will be cost at least £200 more compared to OnePlus 5.
