Compal’s 7-inch Android Tablet with NVIDIA Tegra 2

About, a week back at the Google I/O we saw an amazing prototype which was running on Android OS and was powered by a NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 processor. Now, Compal has introduced one of the very first tablets which would be powered by the Tegra 2 chips.

This tablet features a 7-inch touchscreen, HDMI slot, SD card slot and will be running on Android OS 2.1. The tablet also has capacitive touch buttons on the side. Rumors suggest that the tablet will be powered by an ARM Cortex-A9 and will also have OpenGL 2.0 with complete Flash integration.

It also has a 12-megapixel camera and the HDMI will be able to handle an output of 1080p video. Currently, there is not a lot of information available, also we are not sure about the release date. As usual we will keep you updated if something new is out on the web.

  1. Does anybody know which sort of video information are supported? I keep in mind the Intuition solely could dl 3gp using opera mini. I downloaded the twist ap, possibly that is the problem? How can I watch movies from sites other than youtube? Which file varieties? Often I am given the option of 3gp or mpeg4. Cannot get either to work. Thanks to your time! Damn I want I used to be eligible for the upgrade to EVO!
