Apple to bring the 8GB iPhone 5C to India

Earlier this year in January, Apple started selling the iPhone 4 in India again, introducing the device in the mid-range segment. Last week the company stopped selling this handset as the apparent reason is that Apple is now ready to launch the 8GB iPhone 5C in India.

Replacing the iPhone 4, the 8GB iPhone 5C will be the cheapest iPhone a consumer could grab in the Indian market and it is expected to retail for around Rs 35,000. At the moment the 16GB variant of the iPhone 5C is priced at Rs 41,900.

Apple had originally launched this variant to boost sales of the iPhone 5C and this cheaper variant will also be making it to the European countries followed by China and Australia over the last few months.

The iPhone 5C will come in a range of bright colors, and sport a 4-inch retina display along with the power of Apple’s A6 processor coupled with 1GB of RAM.

It further includes an 8 megapixel rear camera and a front facing Apple FaceTime camera which has a 1.2 megapixel sensor. Apart from the decreased storage space, everything on the device remains the same.

This 8GB iPhone 5C variant is expected to arrive in the Indian market sometime over the next few weeks and Apple is also rumored to be expanding the 8GB iPhone 5C model to other countries.
