Quad-Core powered Oppo R1 smartphone launch in India for Rs 26,990
Chinese handset maker, Oppo has now released a smartphone in the Indian market. This new device is called the Oppo R1 which is a 5-inch phablet/smartphone with an official price tag of Rs 26,990.
The Oppo R1 smartphone sports a 5-inch 720p HD resolution IPS display and it is powered by a MediaTek MT6582 quad-core processor which is clocked at 1.3GHz and coupled with 1GB of RAM. It may not seem like the most powerful smartphone in the market, but it has a good design and well-rounded hardware which would help with its sales.
The smartphone has an 8 megapixel rear camera and a secondary front facing camera, but have a wide aperture of f/2.0 for improved low-light performance. It comes with 16GB of built-in storage capacity and there is no room for expandable storage.
This device is powered by a 2,410 mAh battery and it also incorporates the PI technology which claims to produces more natural white balance and much precise auto focus when capturing images with the handset.
This is a mid-range smartphone from the manufacturer but a price tag of Rs 26,990 doe seem to be a little more than one would pay even for high-tier Chinese manufacturer smartphone.
