Zen Ultrafone 701 HD is an Android Jelly Bean phablet for Rs. 11,999

Local mobile phone vendor Zen Mobile has launched a new Android phablet which it calls the Ultrafone 701HD. This is a 5-inch device which runs comes pre-loaded with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and it is placed in the sub-Rs. 15,000 price range.

The Ultrafone 701HD sports a 5-inch HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor which is backed up by 1GB of RAM. The device also includes 4GB of built-in storage capacity and a microSD card slot which supports expandable memory up to 32GB.

This handheld from Zen Mobile also features an 8 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a BSI sensor, while there is a secondary front facing 3.2 megapixel camera. The rear camera is capable for recording videos at 720p HD and it features a burst mode capable of capturing up to 99 shots in a single click.

Apart from this the Zen Ultrafone 701HD is a dual-SIM capable device which offers dual-standby. It is equipped with 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS/aGPS connectivity capabilities.

With a price tag of Rs. 11,999 this device is likely to go up against the already existing Karbonn Titanium S5, Micromax Canvas HD A116 as well as the Huawei Ascend G510 and the Intex Aqua Wonder Quad Core both of which have a 4.5-inch display.
