Windows 10 New Apps Available With Latest Features

Windows 10 Apps

Recently, Facebook announced that they are bringing their top time-consuming apps to Windows 10 too. However, for the desktop version of this OS we will only have Facebook and Messenger, while Instagram will be available only for Windows 10 mobile.

Naturally, the Facebook app was designed to take advantage to the fullest of the OS’s new features. One of the examples are the “Live Tiles” that help you see any status updates your friends, family and Pages have posted right on the homescreen. The new version of the app is designed to be integrated with File Explorer, so you will be able to share a photo from one of your favorite apps directly to Facebook. Moreover, you will also have desktop notifications for any updates you receive.

It seems that the new Windows apps are very decided to catch up and make people forget about their old lags. The Windows 10 Facebook has the latest features, including the “Reactions”, which you can use to express something more than “Like” to a post, photo or song on the social network.

More than that, you will also be able to post stickers in the comments, and you will also receive desktop notifications. It also comes with a right-hand column which is very useful, since you can see there birthdays, events and trending topics, together with an in-app browser for articles on your newsfeed.

After launching, the new app will replace the Windows 8 app. However, those who still have an older version will be able to use the Windows 8 one if they still have it installed.

The new Facebook will also be accompanied by the Messenger app, which in turn supports stickers, groups and GIFs, and the desktop notification feature.

For the mobile version, Instagram too will support the latest available features: Direct Messaging, Search and Explore, Account Switching and video, plus the Live Tile integration.
