The Sims 4 to be Released for Xbox One and PS4 in Q4 2016 or Q1 2017
According to reports, The Sims 4 game, published by Electronic Arts, is finally being ported to consoles. Unfortunately, the game will not be released for older Microsoft and Sony consoles (Xbox 360 and PS3), and instead, it will be available for the current-gen consoles Xbox One and PS4.
We’re pretty sure that many fans of this game are very excited about this news, but, unfortunately, we don’t have an official date when this will happen. We remind you that some previous rumors were suggesting that The Sims 4 will be released for Xbox One and PS4 sometime in March 2016, but unfortunately that didn’t happen. New rumors have surfaced, saying that this game will be released for the mentioned consoles sometime in late 2016 or early 2017.
We remind you that The Sims 4 game has been released back in September 2014 for Windows PC and in February 2015 it arrived for OS X. With other words, it took the developers some time to port this game to consoles. This happened because the developer faced some technical problems with the project.
Some reports say that The Sims 4 was meant to be released for consoles two years after it was launched for Windows PC, which means that this game was supposed to be available for Xbox One and PS4 sometime in September this year. However, due to the technical issues, The Sims 4 fans will need to wait a bit longer for this game to be released for consoles.
However, until then, you will be able to play The Sims 4 on your Windows PC. We remind you that some recent reports say that this game will soon receive a “Pets” expansion. Rumors say that you will be able to decide the pet’s personality and traits. In addition, these pets will be able to “work” for cash for the Sim owner.
Along with the Pets expansion, there are also reports which say that a restaurant-themed expansion pack will be released. Unfortunately, none of these two expansions has been confirmed by the developer, so we should take these rumors with a bit of salt.
