Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus are Scheduled to Receive Major Software Update
Even though Samsung’s Galaxy S8 flagship smartphone is brand new, user complaints have already started surfacing. The smartphone has recently started shipping and owners are giving bad feedback because it presents a red-tint on its innovative looking edge-to-edge Infinity display. However, Samsung quickly addressed this issue and guaranteed its customers that this issue is not caused by product quality and that it can be fixed through a few settings changes.
Red-Tint Issue Solved Through Software Fix
Samsung made it clear that even though this issue can be simply fixed, the smartphone is still new and it shouldn’t feature this type of problems. This is the reason why the South Korean tech giant has announced that it will start rolling out an OTA (over the air) software fix for Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus.
According to Samsung, the upcoming update is going to calibrate the smartphone’s color range and it will automatically optimize it so that the red-tin issue goes away. What we cannot know yet is the exact date when Samsung’s update will be rolled out. Rumor has it that it’s going to happen during the next week.
The South Korean tech giant didn’t bother too much about creating a marketing campaign for Galaxy S8, and it didn’t even need to. The internet has been filled with rumors and speculations in anticipation of Galaxy S8 which made the smartphone capable of practically selling itself. In fact, Samsung has managed to break a world record by receiving over one million of pre-orders from South Korea.
