Nexus 7 2017 Features and Release Date Leaks

Google should release the Nexus 7 2017 model quite soon, and up until the announcement we have to look at the leaks. We have to admit that until now the leaks are showing a truly impressive device. Besides the great hardware specs, it seems that the future smartphone will be running the latest version of the Android Nougat OS.

Leaks and speculations

For now, Google has said nothing about the Nexus 7 successor, but there were some reports on the leaks and speculations that have been going around in the last couple of months. Forbes said that “Taimen” could be the codename that is used for the massive tablet produced by Google. According to them, Taimen is the name of a huge fish that can even reach a weight of 110 kg. As such, experts believe that the codename would be used for the Nexus 7 tablet.

From what it seems, Nexus 7 2017 will be offering 4 GB RAM instead of 2 like it did until now. Before, Pixel C received some retouches along with the new update, thus bringing a Pixel-similar experience on the older device, according to Greenbot.

Presumably, when the tablet will be released, Google will bring it together with a navigation button and a launcher that is similar to the flagship. Everybody has been hyping over the Snapdragon 835 CPU ever since its release, so it’s safe to assume that the future device will rely on it. And it fits the configuration too, since Google will be using 4 GB RAM and 64 GB internal storage for the Nexus 7 2017 model.

Regarding the size, most likely Google will choose something bigger than 7 inches. The current Pixel model is being produced by HTC, but the tech giant may also choose a different company for the upcoming model.
