Nexus 6P vs OnePlus 3T – An Interesting Turn of Events

OnePlus 3T is one of the most remarkable smartphones to come out in 2016. The smartphone was cleverly released right before Christmas and this boosted its sales percentages. However, the reason to why OnePlus 3T has been selling so well it’s because it has been packed with some of the most impressive hardware parts ever made. With that being said, OnePlus 3T sounds like an overall premium smartphone but how does it fare against Google’s high-end Nexus 6P? Well, we will find that out in today’s brief comparison.

Nexus 6P ships with a 5.7 inch AMOLED display that’s been coated in Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and oleophobic coating. The display offers a high pixel resolution of 1440 x 2560 and a large pixel density of 518 ppi. On the other hand we have OnePlus 3T that’s been equipped with a slightly smaller 5.5 inch Optic AMOLED display. The panel has been coated in Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and it features a full HD pixel resolution of 1080 x 1290 and a pixel density of 401 ppi.

Leaving the display department aside, hardware power is what truly matters when considering purchasing a new smartphone. Google’s high-end smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 810 CPU.  The processor has been clocked at 2.0GHz Cortex A57 and it is coupled with an Adreno 430 graphics processing unit and 3GB of RAM.

OnePlus 3T impresses us with its more powerful Qualcomm quad-core Snapdragon 821 CPU. The smartphone’s processor clocks at 2.35GHz Kyro and it has been fitted with an Adreno 530 graphics processing unit and 6GB of RAM.

Final Words

The battle between these two smartphones seems to be quite close. Nexus 6P wins in the display department while OnePlus 3T takes over when it comes to hardware power. We have to declare the two smartphones as close equals. In the end it’s all up to the customer to decide which one fits their needs the best, high-end display or powerful performances.
