LG Nexus 5X vs Xiaomi Mi6 – the Best Budget Smartphones

The smartphone market is filled with flagship devices that have been packed with outstanding hardware parts and innovative designs. However there’s a big downside to these flagship smartphones, their price tag is more than often quite expensive. Fortunately, there is also a large number of mid-budget ranged smartphones which are more than capable of being used as daily drivers.

Today we will present two of the best mid-ranged smartphones ever made and see what they have to offer. The two candidates are Nexus 5X and Xiaomi Mi6. Both of them feature an affordable price tag and impressive hardware parts which make them stand out from the rest. Without any further ado, let’s get into it.

LG Nexus 5X

Even though the smartphone is being manufacturer by LG, Google is the company that’s directly in charge of it. The reason why this matters is because Google will always make sure that Nexus 5X is being kept up to date with all of its latest software updates. Nonetheless, Nexus 5X has been equipped with a 5.2 inch LCD display which presents a full HD (1080 x 1920) pixel resolution and which has also been coated in Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

In terms of hardware power, Nexus 5X is fueled by Qualcomm’s dual-core Snapdragon 808 CPU. If the processor wasn’t powerful enough, LG has coupled it with an Adreno 418 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

Xiaomi Mi6

The Chinese smartphone ships with a 5.15 inch Eye Protection panel which features a full HD (1080 x 1920) pixel resolution. The smartphone’s display might not be so impressive, but its hardware specs definitely are. With that being said, let’s go ahead and take a look under Xioami Mi6’s hood.

Xiaomi Mi6 uses Qualcomm’s quad-core Snapdragon 835 CPU which runs at a speed of 2.35GHz.  The processor has been fitted with an Adreno 540 graphics processing unit and the whopping amount of 6GB RAM.

As we can all see, the two smartphones are quite impressive. However, this doesn’t mean that they are equal. From a hardware point of view, Xiaomi Mi6 takes this round but when it comes to software updates Nexus 5X is the winner. From the looks of it, customers will be the ones who will have to choose a winner.
