LG G6 Will Compete Against Samsung Galaxy S8
The last year has been a rough one for LG. The South Korean tech manufacturer decided to equip its flagship smartphone LG G5 with a modular design. What happened was that even though customers were interested in a modular design at first, they weren’t that keen on spending extra amounts of money on accessories. Now that 2017 is here, LG has come to redeem itself and launched LG G6.
LG G6 is the company’s flagship smartphone which means that it’s the best to offer. The smartphone will be going head on against the likes of Samsung Galaxy S8 and Apple iPhone 8, but is it able of beating them? Today we’re going to take a look at what LG G6 has to offer and see if it will be able to hold its own against Galaxy S8.
The smartphone ships with a rather large 5.7 inch IPS LCD display. The panel features a high pixel resolution of 1440 x 2880 and a pixel density of 564 ppi. In terms of resistance, LG G6’s display has been coated in Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
LG G6 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 821 chipset which clocks at 2.35GHz. The processor is quite impressive but things get better, LG has also paired the processor with an Adreno 530 graphics processing unit and 4GB of RAM.
The South Korean tech manufacturer has made available the smartphone in the 32GB and 64GB internal storage variants. Fortunately, LG G6’s on-board storage space can be expanded up to 256GB via a microSD card. That’s not all, the smartphone also features a premium non-removable Li-Po 3,300 mAh battery that’s able to last for hours on end.
The smartphone is definitely worthy of the flagship title, but it isn’t quite up to par with Galaxy S8. Both smartphones are being produced by South Korean companies but there’s a big difference in quality. However, Galaxy S8 also sports a more expensive price tag in comparison with LG G6. Nonetheless, LG G6 will definitely be able to put a good fight when compared against Samsung’s Galaxy S8.
