Google Nexus 6P vs Samsung Galaxy S8 – Which One Performs Better?
Nexus 6P is considered as being the most popular Android powered smartphones, but now that Samsung launched its Galaxy S8 flagship we think that things are going to change. Huawei is the manufacturer behind Nexus 6P, and this can clearly be seen in the smartphone’s impressive hardware performances but how well does it fare against Galaxy S8? Today we’re going to pin against each other the two premium Android smartphones and see if Nexus 6P fans are going to remain loyal or switch to Galaxy S8.
Huawei has equipped Nexus 6P with a large 5.7 inch AMOLED panel which features a high pixel resolution of 1440 x 2560 and a pixel density of 518 ppi. The display is really impressive and it’s one of the reasons why Nexus 6P managed to gather such a large fan-base. On the other hand we have Galaxy S8 that ships with an even bigger 5.8 inch Super AMOLED panel. The display offers a higher pixel resolution of 1440 x 2960 and a pixel density of 570 ppi.
If we take a look under Nexus 6P’s hood we can see that it’s powered by Qualcomm’s octa-core Snapdragon 810 processor. The chipset has been clocked at 2.0GHz and it is coupled with an Adreno 430 graphics processing unit and 3GB of RAM. These hardware parts are what make Nexus 6P a high-end daily driver despite its age.
The South Korean is known for putting a high price on hardware power and that’s why its flagship smartphone is fueled by Qualcomm’s latest octa-core Snapdragon 835 processor. The chipset clocks at 2.35GHz and it’s paired with an Adreno 540 graphics processing unit and 4GB of RAM.
Nexus 6P’s display and hardware specs are certainly impressive but they fade in comparison with Galaxy S8. Samsung’s smartphone features an innovative edge-to-edge display that makes it look significantly better than Nexus 6P. We can be sure that Samsung is going to generate huge amounts of profits now that Galaxy S8 is out. Maybe it will even steal some customers from Nexus 6P.
