Google Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P Fans are not Ready to Give up

The entire Nexus community was saddened to hear that Google discontinued the Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P lineup. The Android parent decided to venture into the smartphone world by itself with the Pixel smartphone offering but this isn’t going according to plan. To Google’s surprise, Nexus fans aren’t that keen on upgrading their smartphone to a new Pixel or Pixel XL.

Nexus Fans Stay Loyal

Even though Google is not going to launch any new Nexus 5X or Nexus 6P smartphones, Nexus fans are staying loyal to their devices. According to reports, Google is having a hard time persuading customers into acquiring its latest Pixel smartphone flagship. The most important reason why Nexus fans aren’t interested in Google’s Pixel smartphone is because it’s quite expensive. The price for a Pixel smartphone reaches $1000 in foreign markets because of inflation which is quite expensive in comparison with Nexus 5X that can be acquired for around $300.

Google has equipped its Pixel lineup with the most impressive hardware parts that are available on the market, but Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P are still capable of providing additional features. For example, Nexus 6P features dual front facing speakers while Pixel’s speakers have been located in the bottom. Therefore, Nexus 6P’s audio experience is significantly better than what Pixel or Pixel XL are able to offer.

If we take a close look at every Pixel review, critics are praising the smartphone for its high-end rear camera. What’s surprising is that both Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P are capable of snapping higher quality low light pictures. Pixel’s camera excels when it comes to selfies and landscapes pictures but it doesn’t perform so well in low light environments because it causes a halo effect.

Pixel 2

Everyone knows that Google is getting ready to refresh its Pixel offering this year. Pixel 2 is expected to take the market by storm, but we can be sure that Nexus fans will stick with their Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P. Google is going to be required to equip Pixel 2 with a wide array of innovative features in order to make the smartphone more appealing than Nexus 5X or Nexus 6P.
